I want to share what I’ve learnt over the last thirty six years because of the joy and pleasure it gives me. My practice is variable but currently it has settled into a two and a half to three hour session comprising many components of what I’ve learnt.
Taiji is often described as a martial art and is a solid compliment to the fighting arts, but in the Dragon Gate lineage, it is practiced within a broader context founded on physical and mental union and stability, much like yoga. The practice includes qigong, tai chi and various components picked up along the way. The practice is currently shared on YouTube and Instagram.
I’ve studied under various masters since 1989, most importantly John Munroe of Long White Cloud in New Zealand, and Sat Chuen Hon of the Dan Tao School in New York City.
